I have worked with Spectacle Theatre on many previous occasions including projects such as Big Brother, Your Future First, which have covered aspects of sexual health including exploitation, mental health, emotional resilience, barriers to learning and improving confidence and self-esteem. As the head of PSE in Ferndale community school, I have worked with spectacle theatre on many occasions when they have delivered performances and workshops at the school. The performances and workshops have explored the themes of bullying, mental health and wellbeing, and support the work of the school on a needs basis in delivering the curriculum. Spectacle theatre has also been involved in the delivery of E3 provision as well as performing theatre productions in the youth centre based in the school. The young people of the school have always benefited from the workshops and performances and are always highly engaged.
