‘Tails From The Horse’s Mouth’

A fantastic chance to join Spectacle Theatre!!

Spectacle Theatre will be rehearsing a large scale community play for November this year. We’re looking for as many people as possible to join in with this project – this is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting community project and show off all your hidden and not-so-hidden talents. So whether it’s acting, singing, dancing, social media (e.g., Twitter), make-up, design, set painting, choreography, writing music, making costume – whatever creative urge you have then this is the project to make it happen. Participation is free!

Spectacle normally tour into schools and Community centres with plays, but this project is different. This project is all about making sure everyone can also be involved, not just as an audience, but in all aspects of making a theatre production happen.

We welcome every one of all ages and interests – your skill level is not as important as your energy and commitment.

The play will be written by professional theatre writers working with the community, and will be rehearsed from May through to performances in November. There’ll be a weekly rehearsal for everyone to come together and learn new skills, and then intensive rehearsals in September, October and November, up to the week of the performances.

If you’ve never been involved with – or have never even seen a play – don’t worry, you’ll receive a warm welcome from our team.
